Curiousity strikes

Michael AKA Leekle2ManE - Zone 9a - Lady LakeOctober 16, 2012

Okay, first, I don't have a pond. And I probably won't for at least a couple years. However, what I do have is a 30" fountain basin that is 4" deep. I keep playground sand mounded in this basin to provide water in my butterfly garden. The basin is kept full during the summer by using the condensate from my A/C unit. I am wondering if there are any small aquatic or bog plants that might do well in only 3-4" of water and under the hot Florida summer sun?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or rejections!

And Gary the Great strikes again! At least this time he didn't come armed with envy-inspiring pictures. Thank you for the info. I will look at those and see if anything strikes me.
