Help with ID of this shrub

nyrangerslmb(z5 NH)June 9, 2014

This shrub is growing all over my daughter's property here in NH. It's flowering now and it's extremely fragrant. Her husband wants to bulldoze them unless she can ID them, any help would be greatly appreciated. It's the pale green. olive leaf with white flower.

Here's a closer look at the flowers in bloom.

Are you wanting to id the plant with the silvery leaves or the one with the white rose-like blossoms? Because the two pictures are of two different plants.

The silvery leaf is an Eleagnus umbellata, the rose like flower is a Rubus species ie Bramble. One is an invasive species the other a wild vining plant, or possibly a cultivated variety gone rampant.

Thanks! Not sure about the Rubus, will have to wait till fall and see if there's berries.
