Shoulder length nitrile gloves

kaleviNovember 8, 2012

I used to not enjoy getting my pond ready for winter because I had to dip my hands, sometimes up to the elbows, in the cold water to pull the pots etc. out to trim the stalks and leaves off and to clean the pond of leaves and other debris. I found these shoulder length nitrile pruning gloves that work great to keep my hands from touching the cold water.

Here is a link that might be useful: gloves

I LOVE my shoulder length gloves. Especially during the spring clean up.

How much insulation do you get from these gloves. Working in water at 40oF will freeze the proverbial brass. You know?

They have some lining but the hands don't stay in the water long anyway. Keeping them dry lets them warm quick.

For me, cold and wet is much worse than just cold. Plus, cleaning can be a very dirty job. I just hose off the gloves instead of myself. ;-)
