Butterfly Bush

yhtakJuly 17, 2008

From what I've read Butterfly Bushes should be pretty tough but I have 3 in a bed beside our road and the leaves have started turning brown and falling off near the bottom of the plants. I had them in a bed in the back of our house and they were beautiful and I can't figure out what's happening to them. I moved them a year and a half ago so they should be established. Any ideas?

Agree. Paving gives off a lot of heat, both reflected and moving from the hot pavement into the roadside soil.
