Are these shrubs long lasting? I have read good for few years only. Is this true? If so I better find another one. Thanks

mine are going on 10 years ... in sand.. barely mulched.. and never watered.. unless they are wilting ... and then they bounce right back ...

i have a couple variegated ones.. that really make an otherwise nondescript plant 'pop' .. when not in flower ....

i have never had the guts to do it.. but some peeps cut them nearly to the ground every year ...

a real bee magnet in late august and fall ...

that second name doesnt sound right... but i am not current on its nomenclature ... perhaps i never knew the second name ... lol ....

EDIT: happened to walk by mine.. its labeled as Caryopteris incana .. and that was how i bought it ... so i went the the website of the place i got them from .. and the link is below ....

Here is a link that might be useful: looks like the name was changed on my summer sorbet and snow fairy ....

Another small gray shrub for full sun and good drainage, along with lavender, lavender cotton, thyme etc.
