Ariens ST824 drive gear

wizbangJanuary 18, 2010

I have an Ariens ST 824. Today was in the middle of blowing when the drive train went funky.

Basically when put in gear the tires wouldnt go, and or were sporadic, in both forward and reverse. They werent getting any power to them. The blower when engaged worked fine.

So I assume the belts are fine...will check tonight when I get home.

Does anyone have any guesses?

If belts seem good, pull the bottom cover and take a look at the friction disc.
