Snapper Snowblower - Yellow snow around gas cap

dboss40January 25, 2014

Hey all,

i have an issue when the snowblower is in use, snow that is directly around the gas cap turns yellow (not THAT yellow).

I tried removing the gas cap and replacing it, ensuring that the threads weren't crossed.

Any ideas? Did i just spill some gas when filling today?

Most fuel systems in use vent via the threads in the fuel cap. Yours may still have the small vent hole on the center of the cap. Maybe some seepage of fuel causes this?
