homelite hk24 trimmer, carb back together ?

hooper65January 9, 2007

Hi all - does anyone out there still have a HOMELITE HK 24 with the Kawasaki engine ?

Mine was working poor - would start but bogged under throttle.

Took it to the local small engine fix it place - they took the carburettor apart only to tell me that they could not get parts for this trimmer anymore. They gave it back to me with the carburettor in pieces in a bag.

So - IÂm not convinced that this puppy is dead just yet - but all I have is a carburettor in pieces .... does anyone have a schematic that would illustrate how to put the carberartor back together ... that, maybe you could send me a pdf or jpeg ?

Thank you Thank you if anyone can help :)

Go to www.homelite.com they have a parts list page that you can look at the model no. and the carb. is broken down. If you cannot find your model there give me your e-mail address and I will send you the carb. break down. The only part I have for the carb. is the inlet needle PN 64229. Bill Walcott at billwalcott@gmail.com is the only other person I know who might have parts....

If you find parts, please let me know. If not and you want to sell the carb, please let me know. Mine is broken.

Thanks,

Henry
