model number on troybilt tiller

garden_fool(zone 9 TX)February 20, 2014

I have a 1986 troybilt garden tiller with a 6 hp Tecumseh that I need to order a belt for. How do I find the model number? also where is a good place to order the belt from?

There should be a number stamped in the housing, looking
down between the wheels alongside the cover held down with the big T-Handle, if we are talking about a horse model. Post all, any numbers/letters/names that you find anywhere on the unit, or put up a pic, especially on the engine.

If you have the old belt, take it to an automotive parts place.
I've had good luck buying belts for my troy bilt Horse.
