So beautiful. I have seen this flower or it's close relative only a few times in the woods of Ohio. We call it "ghost flower" here.

It is parasitic too. It grows on the roots of trees and gets all it's energy from them, since it is lacking chlorophyll.

I've seen it listed commonly as "Corpse Flower" too. Can't remember what the Latin is for it though. Will look that up...

I have seen lots of them in the woods of the Sandwich mountains in NH but not where I live here in Texas. I loved these when they would appear in spring and cool rainy times
