Plant No. 2

elisa73December 4, 2012

My backyard is full of these guys... and they are annoying to pull out.

What's their name, and do I need them (can I kill them)?

-I think I worry about killing any of these plants-

Thanks,
Elisa

Why pull them out? Before broad leaf herbicides were common, clover was included in premium lawn seed. Its green and hardy through the winter and adds nitrogen so that the warm weather grasses are ready to take off in spring.

Also, if you have fruit trees or a garden that need pollination, it will bring out the honey bees. Be thankful its growing in your yard.

The part I like best is stepping on the darn bees when you are barefoot in the summer. As a kids, I remember that happening.
