Mainline SEP Plainsman 2 Tiller

Anyone have any info on this tiller?

Not much, It was manufactured after 1980.Prior to that they were made by BCS. Parts were still available sevral years ago. You might try

Hey Norcal,

Farmerdill is right. Mainline was an importer based out of Ohio. They sold BCS tractors under the "Mainline" name until 1982. At that point, BCS decided to import their machine themselves. Paul then started bringing in SEP tractors. I have some sales literature from 1982 and 1983 here and it's really interesting to see the lengths Paul went to sell the BCS and SEP machines as HIS machine. He didn't bill the switchover as a change in manufacturers, he billed it as a "New and Improved" design. It musta been frustrating for him as he spent 10 years building up the BCS machines and then had to spend 10 years trying knock them back down.

Unfortunately, there is NO support for SEP machines in the US that I am aware of. Paul died several years ago and his son, Paul Jr, is liquidating the remains of his business. SEP is still alive and well in Italy and you may find some support there.

have a 725 bsc mainline tiller for sale .. bought it new..stored inside since 79...runs great..used on garden spring of 2012..10 horse..extra tines and snowblower attachment..original paint still on it.. want $800 and you pick up
