Mineral Deposits in pressure washer pump

rbernateMay 3, 2009

Is it OK to run vinegar through a pressure washer pump to get rid of mineral deposits in the pump? It a Excell XR2600 with the stock devilbiss pump.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Vinegar should help and will not hurt the pump as long as it is rinsed with clean water.

I have used CLR as well...just be sure to rinse plenty of clean water through pump and then put in some pump saver.
