Chain Saw trouble

zauggsterJune 10, 2010

I have a Husqvarna 41 chain saw. It has the following behavior: If I get it out, set the choke, pull a couple of times, it fires. Push in the choke, pull the cord, it will run just fine. Cut things, all is well, it can be stopped and restarted instantly, until most of a tank of gas is gone. Then it dies. At that point I can hear what sounds like boiling gasoline, a fizzling noise. It will then start with the throttle all the way open, as if it were flooded, but it will only run for 2 seconds, then die. If I pull it once with the choke on, and then do the throttle wide open, it will rev for 2 seconds again. I have seen on this forum great advice. Have any of you some great advice for me? Thanks

What you describe could be a "vaporlock", has not been
a comon problem for some yrs. Take it to a high press.
