Pressure Washer Selection

tech0010June 2, 2013

I'm interested in a pressure washer for residential use, and on a pretty slim budget. My target price range is under $350.

I know I'll be looking at an axial pump, so I'd at least to find one with a name brand pump. One I've found so far is the Generac 6022 which has an AR pump. I don't know much about Generac engines, anyone have any experience with this one?

Are there any other options in the same price range that run a decent axial pump? There seem to be a lot of options that have a Honda engine paired with a no name pump.

I have one of those generac's ,I choose that over other models because from what I read it seemed like I was getting a good pump and a good engine. So it seemed balanced.

But with some of the others it seemed to be that you get a really good honda engine but a below average pump and it always seemed that the pump was the first part to go on those ones.

Here is a link that might be useful: This guys talks a bit about the engine here on his generac
