Snapper RER

craigmannApril 10, 2014

Hello, need some help.... I have a 2003 M301021BE snapper RER. I am not getting a spark at the plug.... I have replaced the solenoid, replaced the seat switch, the switch in the rear, checked the blade engagement switch, put a new magneto in, checked and cleaned the plug.... Now the starter will not even turn over... Trickle charged the battery last night... Has good compression... What am I missing? Last year it would die once it got warm... Assumed it was the magneto going bad... Please keep me from going completely crazy I am. Patient man.... This one is getting to me.... Any help would be just great!

Sounds like you went backwards? I hate that feeling. If you were cranking, and now not- what would have changed is the first question. The second is, once it is cranking what is keeping it from having spark. A test that you can do is to remove the kill wire -from the coil if you have to. Then, it should be generating spark if the coil is good. Below is a link for wiring diagrams. Hopefully you can find that miss placed wire or popped fuse.
