Poulan Pro 18 Inch leaks oil and gas

zoulasAugust 20, 2009

Hello , I have this saw and during storage (5-8 months) it loses half the oil and has from its tanks. Is this normal? I usually top off both tanks before storage. When I check it before using it, they are about half empty.

I used to have the same problem until a person that logs for a living told me to lay them on their side with the oil and gas cap facing up and loose. Works for me.

Yea, that figures it would work that way. It must be leaking from the caps. The problem is the case the saw came with keeps it in the upright 'correct' position. Whatever, its a Poulan.
