replace cable asembly on toro 20058

barry529August 7, 2011

Hi folks,

I'm trying to replace the electric start housing on a 2006 toro model 20058 self propelled mower. I need to know how to remove the blade control cable near the top of the left handle, so I can slide the broken housing off and put the new one on. I tried prying it, but was afraid to break it. Any suggestions?? THANKS>

I think what you are referring to is the end of the outer cable that snaps into the housing? It should squeeze together and pull back through.

Thanks, tomplum, I'll try that.
