AYP belt

bus_driverMay 29, 2014

Bought a belt online for my Craftsman/AYP rider. Represented as an OEM belt. It has no brand on it. Made In China! It has 130969 at one place, 1310 at another, 6A at another. The entire outside of the belt is a fabric.
Is this an OEM for AYP? Or maybe just a cheap knockoff? I never replaced one of these before.

Unless you order the belt from Sears you're likely to get a third party belt, but not always.

Sears contracts for the manufacture of their riders and companies are being bought and sold at an alarming rate. OEM parts do show up from third party vendors.

Over the years I've just stuck with OEM and paid a little more rather than waste time trying to save what turned out to be not so much money.
