weeping cherry from seed??

Well, I meant to just come here, post a quick question, and then start my productive work day, but I've spent so much time reading post after post. Its kind of like pringles. Once you pop you can't stop.

Anyway, can you plant weeping cherry trees from seeds? I thought that these were mostly grafted trees? I have seen the seeds on ebay.

If grown from seed, do they actually weep or do they have upright branches? Hopefully this question made sense.

The weeping portion is grafted onto suitable rootstock. You can germinate a number of seeds and 5-6-7-10 years later see if any of them weep and then graft...
