Is it economically feasible to desalinate salt water and use it to water plants

bob,

You probably know the answer to your own question. In order of irrigation methods which is the least expensive to the most expensive. Then add to that hierarchy the cheapest water to produce to the most expensively produced. What is the method of delivery would you expect to deliver desalinated water? Don't forget to add the cost of salt disposal or you might find a market for it but it will take effort. JMHO Aloha
