sprinkler control

I have a Richdel 406h sprinkler control and I want to replace it with a compatable controller. I'm worried about the amp output to the valves. Any suggestion.

Don't worry. almost all controllers or timers use 24V to the valves. The amperage is very small and all auto valve solenoids with 24V can operate from different types of controllers that use this low voltage. I read that is has about pulls about 400 to 120 mili-amps to move the solenoid plunger, not much. JMHO Aloha
