I called my town hall a few years back to find out if there were any restrictions on landscaping. I did it because there are numerous plantings on corner lots in this town that block the view of drivers making turns. This leads to lots of accidents and near-accidents, and makes walking and bicycling difficult at best.

It turns out there are laws against plantings that restrict visibility, and against plantings within 2' of town roads. Obviously, these laws are not enforced with much vigor.

I have a corner lot, and am trying not to plant anything that will interfere with visibility.
