old roses

michael1949May 12, 2012

A friend gave me a white rose plant in a pot when my daughter Rose was born 17 years ago. I took care of it all that time and it prospered and waned...now it is just about dead. Are there any procedures or something I can do to save it? We moved to a windy area and that just about did the plant in...any help appreciated...thank you

If you have some green stems, you could try rooting pieces and thus get yourself a brand new version of the same plant.

However, photos would be helpful.
When you say "just about dead", what exactly do you mean? Are all the canes black, brown, or just the leaves, or??

More detailed information will get you better advice.
