Jacob's Ladder

rosefollyMay 6, 2012

In a garden of mostly antique and reproduction roses, 'Jacob's Ladder' (Carruth, 2003) stands out as the most saturated red in my garden. With a son named Jacob I had to grow this rose. It stands out as something different, its sassy color a delight to me here. It is so cheery. No fragrance whatsoever, but it does repeat in cycles. In my Bay Area garden, has no disease with only a single spray at pruning time. I bought mine a few years ago from Edmunds Roses, but according to HMF, there are no US vendors currently
