White Pine Shedding Needles

I have 2 white pines where the needles are currently brown. I suspect that it may be shedding for normal reasons. My question is, when can I expect to see the new growth take place

the buds should be extending now ...

but we dont know current weather where you are... we dont see a pic ... and we have no history ... nor do we know your winter...

so whether it is normal ... who knows.. we need a pic

They're JUST expanding to a point I can see them driving down the road now. This is in Maryland, zone 7.
