What is wrong with my crabapple tree?

wendyedMay 21, 2014

Every year my crabapple leaves get spots, turn yellow and fall off. It's usually almost bare by mid-summer. Any ideas what this is?

Looks like the beginning a scab, a common fungal ailment of various apples, crabapples and pears. You can spray for control but if annual problems, suggest you replace with a disease resistant variety.
