Worried about my large maple tree: leaves brown/black, drying, fa
Greetings everyone! I have a large maple tree (not sure what kind) in my back yard. Tree is probably 65-70 feet tall. Anyway, over the past several weeks many of the tree's leaves have brown/black spots and seem to dry up on the edges, curl up and fall off.
There is still plenty of new growth, but I don't know if this is due to not enough water, fungus, disease, insects? I have also noticed similar conditions on the same type of tree in some surrounding areas (not just in my neighborhood).
I'm new to these forums, but was wondering if anyone else has seen this sort of problem and if it is something of major concern and/or if there are any steps I should take to help my tree friend :)
Thanks and hope all are doing well. Gotta keep our trees, plants and green things healthy and growing!
