converting catching Husqvarna to sideshoot

eegamNovember 3, 2013

Hi, I have a 151xp Husqvarna catching mower, have had it for a few years and am wanting to get a different deck for it to use as a non catching side shoot. We have a large plot of land and the mower seems to spend most of its time mulching due to blockages. I could change it but really like the mower and having the catching options.
Looking at the standard format of the mower (for its time) and having had the deck off it it seems that it would be doable to put a different deck on it with an exit out the side for the grass? Has anyone had experience doing this ?

eegam, let me guess; you live in New Zealand on a 2.5 hectare property and manage the lawns with this mower and a larger tractor from time to time. Haha, ok, I saw your post on another forum. I see that tractor is a dedicated rear catcher almost just like the John Deere X300R tractor rider with 42-in. deck. I really can't answer your question but I added the owners manual below for somebody that may be able to help. Good luck!
