Coreopsis Moonbeam

hepatica_z7August 2, 2011

Back in the days when I was a lurker, someone brought out that Moonbeam only blooms all summer if kept continuously moist. I had been having trouble with keeping mine in bloom. Finally this year I have been giving it a slosh of water every time I walk past it with a bucket of gray water. It really works! Despite a summer with very high temps and practically no rain, it keeps blooming its wonderful head off. Thank you to whoever started that discussion, years ago.

So, if there are any other lurkers out there, or even regular contributors, I want to pass on the favor. It is such a useful flower with its dainty charm, go-with-any-color yellow, and long life. I think I have had mine for twenty years.
