Planting an Eastern Redbud in intense July heat?
I live in Kentucky and like most summers, we are in the midst of a heatwave. The temperatures are hovering around the mid 90s.
I was at The Home Depot a couple of days ago and all of their shrubs and trees were 50% off and they had a couple of Eastern Redbuds left (my favorite). Would the sapling live if I bought it today and planted it in these sweltering conditions?
I know there is a one year money back guarantee so I would be able to get a refund if it did die, but I don't want to even attempt it if the tree is likely to die.
