Statuary and other Fripperies part2

paul_(z5 MI)September 22, 2014

Don't know if there be enough interest to do a second thread on the topic, but in case there is (and if not then this thread will simply fall by the wayside) ...

Found the following (see link) while surfing the web. While not garden frippery but rather a photo the gent took while visiting a sculpture park, it would make for an amusing lawn art theme I think....

Here is a link that might be useful: creative use for a car

Very entertaining, Paul.

Don't usually stress about ants in gardens, but those would be another matter.

Somehow I think I'd get a letter from the HOA if I did that to the grass in my yard.

Ho yes, I could definitely have some of that - might even set my daughter on it (her of the elaborate braids and waist length hair.

The ants...and car....are exactly the things I am steeling myself against (no pun intended) as youngest son's welding skills 'improve'. (I have seen plans!!!) I tried to divert his creative impulse towards plant supports but was met with snorts of derision.

Frogs

Sorry to make you all relive this but. I need a concrete frog. It has to be sitting with its head tilting up and not a toad. It can't be painted any colors and needs to be about 12" tall (or more)

And no it is not for me

This has been my quest for the past couple of days.......

I found one nursery that had a frog section....go figure

I think the grass Brade borders on art. I have always ben drawn to the willow constructions

I like the willow structures -- particularly the tunnel one.

Camp, perhaps you can give us your son's email addie and we send him inspirational photos like the ant one?
