Another mystery flower

GrantCCDecember 7, 2012

We've been watching the bud of this flower grow wondering what it was & this morning it appeared in all it's glory. About 15cm across and the centre roughly 3cm across.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks Decoguy, right on the money. Here's another pic from this afternoon with the petals nicely opened up in spite of the 33 degree temperature!

In the second one we can see the leaves, which is an improvement.
