Tree growth identification?

Hi - Hoping someone can help identify the growth on my tree. The attached picture shows the growth on either side of the face. Thanks in advance!

i think its mutton chops????

seriously .. i cant focus on it.. how about a close up ...

probably a burl ... sorta of a tree cancer.. in that the cells are growing in an abnormal way ....
