Please help me ID this tree.

chilehed(z5 MI)September 25, 2013

Form is upright vase-shaped, with a dense rounded crown, perhaps 20 feet tall. Seems to be fairly slow-growing, and is quite a handsome tree. None of my plant junkie friends know what it is... if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Yes, some kind of sorbus. It could also be sorbus intermedia

"oakleaf mountainash" = hybrid of S. intermedia (Swedish mtn.ash) and S. aucuparia (European mtn.ash)
