Baby tomatoes planted out

stlgirl(6a MO)May 14, 2013

So I decided to put my little guys in the garden last week. To protect them from the pesky squirrels I decided to cover them with a milk jug with the bottom cut open. I also added big vent windows to keep them from cooking. It is suppose to hit 89 today in St. Louis - yikes! Crazy considering only a couple days ago our high was 62.

Nice. They should do great now that they're in the ground -- much more room to grow.

It's currently 93 degrees in central Illinois. Crazy. Good idea to get your little baby out and under a clever squirrel barrier. So far squirrels have left my veggies alone. Fingers crossed.
