tennessee coneflower and BES vine- zilch germination

beachgrub(4 northern michigan)May 2, 2012

Is anyone else ws these this year? How are yours doing? I've heard i need warm weather consistently for the bes vine so no big surprise there but shouldn't the coneflower be up by now?

I'm in Zone 8, sowed my Tennessee coneflower seeds on March 7 and had germination on April 18. The seeds were a couple of years old so I didn't have a great germination rate, but did get a few.

I WS'd a lot of BES vine last year and didn't get sprouts until later than almost everything else.

I got a TON of Ech TN sprouts and they have been planted out here in Columbus for several weeks. They are growing like weeds.

We have a great friend of the Newbie Seed Project who donates a ton of TN Ech every year and most newbie Packs have some seeds in them.
