speaking of autumn surprises...

I had two:

a zinnia grew itself in a pot where I had lemon balm, and it is ready to bloom. In late October!

In another pot where I have an herb, a pink salvia grew itself and is blooming.

What fun! Zinnia's are always a welcome sight!

Were they swap or commercial seeds that you planted? I could swear I've had that happen with commercial seed, but not swap seed. LOL.

That is a nice surprise. I have a jug, that I gave up on now there are plants but no flowers. I have no idea what it is since I cut the top off a long while ago. We are having a very dry Fall. I'm waiting for some constant rain to plant out.
