I'm not sure what kind of Tulips toughs are I will let someone else help you. I used to have some that looked like that!
T. turkestanica, perhaps?
Looks like clusiana. Do the flowers open wide in the daylight? and close at night?
Here is a link that might be useful: Tulip clusiana
it is definitely a species tulip. I would say not T. turkestanica (mine are multi-flowered). Clusiana is probably a good guess.
I have grown a species tulip for years that I believe to be Clusiana Cynthia. It is pale yellow and soft red. There is another Clusiana (C. var. Chrysanthia) that has a yellow/red color combo, but I think the colors are stronger. To add to my confusion there is also the white and red Clusiana. All the Clusiana tulips are known collectively around here as the "Lady tulips. Usually I like to stick to the latin, but in this case I get confused because of all the variants so just call mine Lady Tulips.
The funny thing is that the locals call them "CrowÂs Garlic". Lol!
Ick! I like our "Lady Tulip" term better-LOL...
