I've been reluctant to use aluminum cans for crafts because of the sharpness of the cut edges? Is this a problem? If so, what do you do about it?

I've cut up dozens of cans and nwo cut myself yet, despite being quite clumsy. I've foudn that ounce I cut them into shapes for the flowers and the edges are really smooth, that they really aren't that sharp.

bookjunky - thanks for the comments on the sharp edges. This looks like a great project for my 7 year old.

My mom used to do something similar years ago. Except she would cut the lids off of regular steel cans. She would have to use metal sheets to cut the flower shapes. And those were SHARP!
