A Ceramic Shop??????

Greetings- Husband made me a 12"round concrete ball with PVC thru the middle for my fountian. We stained it terra-cotta and we love it. HOWEVER, I'm starting to accent in the gardens with alot of the colbalt blue ceramics. We asked a local potter if he could make a glazed ball with same dimensions and make it a useable water feature. He has put me off so many times that I'm ready to move on for another source. Has anyone made a ceramic sphere for a water feature or do you know where I could purchase one? thank you for your time.

Gardenlady-Why couldn't you use a concrete ball like the one you have? You could mosaic it.Just a thought....Lillie

Lillie...I don't know how to mosaic it, but thanks for the idea. I think I would prefer the glazed, runny look.

Try a wash of acrylic paints, that have been watered down or put it on full strength then spritz with water to get that runny look. Once dry seal it with a concrete sealant.
