Painted Stakes

The only sunny spot to grow tomatoes in our yard is smack in the middle of the yard. I have nice perennial borders all around the edges, so to make the tomato patch look a bit upscale I painted the stakes blue, spaced them carefully (think modern garden art!)and planted some forget me nots to spruce it up early in the season. I love how it looks and wanted to share the idea.

Here is a link that might be useful: tomato patch in spring

RE: Painted Stakes

Suez, I am totally jealous. That's a very pretty yard. From the looks of your album, you have color year-round and planned it really well.

I'm in the middle of a major backyard remodel and trying to achieve the same thing with perrineals rather than annuals. Wish me luck!
