Abs plastic

This material was mentioned in a post in the "..build anything out of PVC?" thread. I'm not having any luck finding more info on it. Would someone who knows about Abs plastic enlighten us ignorant ones? Please?

Hi there, I just checked a google search and there are several pages of places to get ABS material and what it can be used for. It'll take more time than I have right now to research all of them. Hope this gives you a start!

Thanks calpat. I tried the Googling it too and found a lot of sources and some really technical info that I couldn't decifer. Basically I'm hoping someone can simplify the differences between PVC and Abs plastics for me. Or even post a link to a "chart" or graph somewhere.
I'll keep looking.
