| Hello dear friends,I wanted to make my own tree face and remember someone had written about using "Tough Stuff" to make the eyes, nose and mouth.Do you remember what type of paint was used for the colors?.I would have to use something that would withstand the Maine winters.Josie |

RE: Tree face - have you tried Fimo?

| I had a friend make a really neat tree face out of Fimo clay. It's actually some type of plastic that you bake in the oven to harden. Fimo comes in colors so there's no painting involved and you can find at almost every craft store around. It's not cheap but it's easy to use, lightweight and so far seems durable. She did seal hers with plain old clear Krylon before mounting it on the tree. |
