Yesterday DH went to pick up the new thing he ordered...
A PLASMA CUTTER!!!!! It was late in the afternoon, so we didn't get to try it out. We are fixing to go out now and see what it can do! |

| I LOVE those metal twirlies that can be made with a plasma cutter. |

| Enjoyed playing with the plasma cutter yesterday. Cut 3 proplane tanks (3 different sizes) to make 'bells'. And experimented on some thinner metal. cut some dragonfly wings and some small butterflies. Not good-LOL- but I hope that will come with practice! |

Wow I would like to have a plasma cutter too, but I will have to do some saving first as all I have seen are very expensive. What size of propane tanks were you cutting? Bill |

There were 3 sizes--after cutting they are 12', 18', and 22". All are 12" across the bottom. We also cut an oxygen tank 36" and 18", 9 inches across. I can't wait to get them hung. |

| Oh.......I want to be at your house, we would love a plasma torch, lucky you! We also have a 'collection' of propane tanks waiting in the wings. Karen |

| I am working on my first propane tank, and I have a question. How do you make the tank safe to cut? My tank is one of the 20 LB bottles used for BBQ grills. I removed the valve stem so that I had positive proof that the tank was empty prior to removing the valve. I have done some grinding on the tank, but I have yet to do any welding. Is there any danger at this point? Bill |
