Can I paint fiberglass urns? How?

Posted by lceh 7 Central VA (My Page) on

I picked up two lovely fiberglass urns at 75% off yesterday. The shape is perfect, but they're white and I want to paint them so they look like gray stone or aged concrete. They're already textured, so I don't need to use faux stone textured paint. How do I go about painting them? Do I use some special type of paint? Should I apply by spraying or with a roller? Do I need to seal it afterwards? Any help would be appreciated!

boats and cars and pools are fiberglass. They are painted. I would check the labels on spray paint cans at the building/home/hardware store. Actually ask the person mixing paint and they can show you which ones to use.
