How do you make a fountain?

Dh and I are doing a dog theme in our yard. I also really love the old bright red water pumps and old galvanized metal planters. I found this water fountain on Ebay

but do not know how to make it work without a pond. I do know that I would need to buy a pump, but don't know what else to get, or what the next step is. I would love to incorporate
something like this

since we have a lot of red in the yard. Would I have to drill a hole? Make a stand in the middle? I'm lost. Thanks if you can help!

jen,

Did you get the fountain hooked up?
You shouldn't need to drill a hole. Just set the pump in the bucket with the tubing (connects to the dog) and the electrial wire going over the back of the tub. Once it's set up and water running you'll barely notice the wire.
