check out my log/twig gazebo if you want to...

I just got finished with my biggest "stick" project yet, a gazebo. All it needs is the roof, (ordered by mail, on the way) which is going to be palm thatch, like a tiki hut. This should be a good setting for my basjoo bananas and tropicals when I get it finished up, I think. The uprights are 5-6 inches diameter, and it's about 7 feet across by about 15 feet tall I think. I did it all myself, except for the roof angles, and I'm very proud, because I flunked shop class in high school. I've come a long way, since then...Thanks for looking...Sandy
here's a link :It's listed under the "twig projects" album, and it's nearly the last picture.

Sandy,
I'm amazed - you must have used every log, limb, and stick from the ice storm you had in January. The gazebo is fantastic! What an idea - with the "thatched" roof, your tropicals will feel right at home. Love all your ideas.

Hi, Sandy,

What a creative way to make use of all the wood -- logs, limbs, twigs, branches, sticks -- fallen by the ice storm! All of your projects turned out great. And your gazebo is fantastic!
