| Has anyone used exterior latex or enamel house paint on their clay pots? I know Walmart sells the bottles in the craft section that are for outside, but I wanted to just buy a quart or gallon to save money. Thanks!

| I have used exterior acrylic house paint on clay pots with some success. You do need to waterproof the inside of the pot first or the paint will peel right off from moisture inside the pot.Of course any paint will do that after time if the inside is not waterproofed.I use the black spray stuff made for that purpose. Also when spending the time to paint the pot up really pretty,I prefer to pot the plant in a plastic pot and sit it down inside the sealed clay pot................Lillie |
