wind warning: anchoring vinyl obelisk

| Have a vinyl obelisk that has been laying prone since December! It is the typical 6' obelisk available on all the websites. Has 10" for anchoring in the ground. After the hurricane force winds hit the Oregon coast in Dec., the "anchored" obelisk was found on it's side undamaged but burying 10" of each leg isn't going to hold it.
It's spring and I need to get her up and supporting something. What have you been using to anchor this type of garden accessory? I've looked and can't find an "anchor kit" so I'll have to devise my own. I'm counting on your experience and advice. This is at the coast so salt air and lots of moisture have to be taken into account.
Thanks you guys! |

| The best anchors I have found are camp stakes. They go deeper and are stronger. The metal ones with wide/three sided bases. Ace is the only place I have seen them. But are so strong I have to really work at pulling them out. |

| I buy dog tie-downs at the Dollar store. The type that screw into the ground. |

| Does anyone know where I can purchase a vinyl obelisk shaped like a pyramid. I've looked everywhere and can't find one. My neighber has one and it's beautiful! |
